M&A Round-Up: UBM Buys CenTradeX, GfK Invests, Kayak Buys Swoodoo

A mini-flurry of Thursday activity…

UBM buys CenTradeX: United Business Media (LSE: UBM) is laying down $544,000, plus a potential $100,000 based on targets, for the market intelligence firm, whose online tools give users insight in to import/export logistics, to improve the interface and offerings of its own PIERS Global Intelligence suite.

GfK investments: The German consumer research firm says it’s investing in website user-experience tester SirValUse Consulting and in digital usability startup Nurago to enhance its online user research offering. It says it how holds 40 percent of each.

Kayak buying Swoodoo: The U.S. flights search engine is enhancing its European profile by acquiring the German local flight searcher, making the target’s CEO Christian Saller in to Kayak’s overseas managing director. Via TechCrunch.
