Industry Moves UK: CNET; AOL

CNET Networks: UK MD Tom Bureau will leave at the end of the month after five years to concentrate on a new venture. Bureau had recently overseen the relocation of the UK division to new London premises with a big new focus on video production but is now talking with investors and private equity groups, telling Revolution “digital will be at the heart, or a major part of any new venture.” Jill Orr, currently CNET UK’s head of consumer media, will replace Bureau. She joined in 1998 and launched CNET.co.uk back in 2005.

AOL Europe: More moves … Carlos Morgado leaves to become CTO of Passado, a low-profile pan-European social network premised on definable personal connections at work or school. Morgado had held several senior positions at AOL Europe including director of technology and head of strategy and innovation. (Via NetImperative).
