Industry Moves UK: IPC Digital Ad Sales, Yahoo Europe

IPC: The UK magazine publisher has hired Nick Bradley from Elle and Sugar publisher Hachette Filipacchi to a new director of digital advertising role . Bradley was HF’s director of digital sales and had previously been a digital manager at News Corp’s News International UK tabloid newspaper group, working across Sun Online and Page3.com (so he went from a publisher that prints a semi-naked woman every day to one that focuses on women’s fashions and home furnishings). Joining in July, he will be responsible for developing a digital advertising strategy for IPC. IPC said it will be launching more digital properties (Via mad.co.uk).

Yahoo: European director news, sport and information Lloyd Shepherd is leaving Yahoo for a second time, this time to go freelance. Shepherd re-joined Yahoo in March 2006 from Guardian Unlimited, where he worked with digital chief Simon Waldman as deputy director of digital publishing. Prior to joining the paper in 2001, he had spent three years as Yahoo UK & Ireland head of development. Shepherd wrote at his blog that he had relaunched Yahoo News and Eurosport during his year at the company but that he needed to spend more time at home with his children.
