Industry Moves UK: AOL Europe Loses Moore, Gains Steckler

The AOL Europe exodus continues, with head of monetization services Michael Moore leaving to be executive director of consumer markets at Telegraph Media Group. Moore will have responsibility for multimedia along with strategy, enterprises, marketing and research. He had been with AOL since 1998, helping launch the operation in Europe and starting up EU advertising and e-commerce operations two years later. Of late, he had been responsible for AOl’s search and social networking (Via NMA).

In recent months, AOL Europe lost head of commercial development Phil Guest and MD Andy Jonesco. But the company has found a new VP of interactive marketing in Michael Steckler, an EMEA planning director for Microsoft’s digital advertising team. Steckler was previously head of sales and commerce for MSN UK. (Via MediaWeek).
