Earnings: U.K. Radio Group GCap’s Q2 Online Revenue 38 Percent Up On Last Year

Online revenue at U.K. commercial radio leader GCap (LSE:GCAP.L) for the three months to July 25 rose 38 percent year-over-year, according to a statement presented to the company’s annual general meeting today. Traffic to the group’s radio station websites is up 13 percent over last year at an average of 1.4 million unique monthly users. The company expects further growth from a £2.1 million online investment it announced in May. Total group revenues beat expectations to rise six percent, year-on-year, in June and two percent for the quarter as the the radio advertising sector continued a small resurgence. Listeners to GCap’s digital radio stations were up 13 percent on the previous quarter.
