Industry Moves: Yahoo Europe Search VP Stephen Taylor ‘To Quit’

Yahoo’s (Nasdaq:YHOO) European VP of search, Stephen Taylor, is leaving the site to form his own consultancy, mad.co.uk reports. As European VP and MD for Yahoo’s then search marketing suite Overture, which he joined in 2003, Taylor’s role was expanded a year later as the two companies integrated; he was responsible for bringing the disparate elements closer together and for product innovation in the search space. It comes a week after the departure of global sales EVP Gregory Coleman in February 2008 was announced as the result of a restructure. Taylor is due to appear on a panel at ad-tech London later in the month.
