Disney-ABC is reorganising its team in Europe from April to create a single division covering new media, programme sales and channel carriage, Hollywood Reporter says: “Responsibilities will span all platforms, including terrestrial, pay, cable/satellite, telco and IPTV, and across all technologies, including PPV, DTT, VOD, broadband and mobile.” Tom Toumazis, Disney-ABC International’s EVP and MD for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region, will head the new-look unit, which will group Disney (NYSE: DIS) Channel, ESPN and other channel operations.
