– Warner Bros: The movie studio is to make some films available over VOD platforms the same day they go on sale as DVDs. The studio is giving Sky Box Office, Virgin Media (NSDQ: VMED), BT (NYSE: BT) Vision and XBox Live customers 24-hour access to the flicks for £3.95. Hollywood trade mag Variety says it’s the first time VOD/DVD releases have been synchronised in the UK and follows trials in the US, and northern Europe.
– Orange: The telco used MipTV to announce Cinéma Séries, a multiplatform roster of premium TV and movie content.
