Industry Moves: Endemol’s New German MD, Sky Ads And Mobile Heads Quit

Endemol: German interactive TV channel 9Live‘s international MD is leaving to become MD of Endemol’s German unit. Marcus Wolter founded Seegang Music and Seegang Media, as well as Viva, Germany’s first music channel, before joining the ProSiebenSat.1 (FRA: PSM) subsidiary, which does phone-in lottery and quiz games. Wolter will replace Borris Brandt in October.

BSkyB: Sky is losing its Sky Digital Media sales director Paul Wright next week after May’s appointment of Times Onine’s Giles Ivey as portal sales head led to his role being restructured, Media Week says: “He leaves the company with no job to go to.” Sky’s properties include 365 Media’s site and 180 other sites; it also sells online ads on third party sites.

Sky mobile: BSkyB (NYSE: BSY) is also losing its head of mobile, Tim Satchell, who is going to pursue his own business interests, NMA reports. Satchell had been 365’s mobile head prior to its acquisition by BSkyB and launched the football goal flash mobile service. Add the departure of Satchell and Wright to that of Scott Gallacher, online marketing director, who is leaving in September, too, NMA says.
