— All3Media/Joost: After recently striking carriage deals with BlinkBox and MyVideoRights, the Hollyoaks and Peep Show maker is still in digital ramp-up, licensing Joost to carry its shows as VOD in the UK. Joost was already distributing All3Media shows, which also include Fifth Gear and 10 Years Younger, overseas. Now Joost’s content and acquisition head Stacey Seltzer has expanded the arrangement.
— Telegraph/Blinkx: Blinkx says Telegraph.co.uk will be contributing material from its TelegraphTV video efforts to the video search index. Blinkx is selling ads against the footage using its AdHoc in-video sales platform.
— Centaur share buyback: The Lawyer publisher bought back shares costing £221,000 yesterday. It bought 425,000 of its shares at £0.52 each.
— Orchard on We7: Steve Purdham’s We7 music store and ad-funded tune streamer has done a deal to take on much-needed repertoire from digital music distributor The Orchard (NSDQ: ORCD). Orchard’s 1.3 million tracks will be made available with ads, for streaming, as downloads and pay-for MP3s. We7 started with a small indie repertoire but recently got EMI, Sony (NYSE: SNE) BMG and Warner artists for various licenses. Release.
