Financial Data Visualizer WSOD Acquired By Markit

Wall Street On Demand, which provides financial markets data visualization to online media companies and financial services outfits, is getting acquired by Markit, which provides much of that data to clients directly.

Boulder, CO-based Wall Street On Demand built the stock charts backend for The Financial Times, for the Ameritrade website, CNBC, Bank Of America, NY Times and others.

No acquisition price or terms are being disclosed in the announcement, but it sounds like WSOD will continue to offer its services to clients other than Markit…

The announcement says that, whilst adding WSOD will enhance its own product offering but that WSOD’s clients will also benefit from Markit’s own content.

Markit already employs more than 1,500 in offices worldwide.

Let’s just hope those charts WSOD produces go up.
