The Press Association Images news photo agency says it will distribute photos from the “citizen journalism” service Demotix – the agency’s first such deal.
Demotix’s CEO Turi Munthe, in the announcement: “By working with Press Association Images’ extensive customer network, we tie our contributors ever more closely to the national news agenda, and of course open up a whole raft of clients for them
“Demotix – two years old this January – has a lot to learn from the PA. Together, we believe we can craft a new set of rules for news sourcing and distribution, both in the UK and further afield.”
AP, Reuters (NYSE: TRI) and EPA have distributed Demotix content in the past.
