iPlayer requests from iPad rose by 22 percent in February, after the BBC finally introduced the app version of the VOD player in the middle of the month.
Requests from iPad rose from 1.8 million to 2.1 million. But iPad within the overall device mix was broadly flat, making up just over one percent of iPlayer requests.
iPad was the only iPlayer device platform which saw heightened viewer requests – iPlayer hits dipped because February was a short month, the BBC says.
