Moonpig Flies In To Photobox For £120 Million

There’s money in turning digital to physical… the online photo printer Photobox is buying the Moonpig.com personalised greeting card service for £120 million.

The deal, reported by FT, exhibits clear complementarity, uniting the photo-specific business with the business that depends on printing user-uploaded photos on to greetings cards.

FT: “Moonpig’s sales rose by 21 percent to £38 million in the year to April 2011, while PhotoBox’s sales rose about 30 percent last year.”
