Condé Nast International is adding Malcolm Simms as its first chief technology officer, reporting to chairman Jonathan Newhouse and “laterally” to digital president James Bielfield. Simms founded legal services contractor K Cloud and is an ex Disney/ABC (NYSE: DIS) executive.

Populis: The blog network and how-to content service is adding Luigi Vassallo, a computer science lecturer from La Sapienza University in Rome, as VP of innovation and product development.

Briefing Media: The B2B content aggregation startup is taking on Andy Oakes, publisher of the now-out-of-print New Media Age, as an associate director.

BBC Worldwide: The media corp is adding Endemol Worldwide Brands’ Americas SVP and GM Joerg Bachmaier as its EMEA EVP, a new role. He had worked on apps, live events and consumer products, C21 reports.
