Nevermind TV — is the opportunity for online video larger outside of the conventional mediascape? That’s what video services firm Kaltura’s CEO thinks.
“By 2016, every employee of large companies is going to consume 16 hours a month for work-related activities,” Ron Yekutiel tells Beet.TV in this video interview.
“As the workplace becomes consumerized — people bring their own device — Kaltura is bringing “YouTube” in to the enterprise — we are consumerizng the enterprise”
“There are thousands and thousands and thousands of companies that have … way more employees than media companies,” he says. “The vastness of that market is significantly larger than the media market.” Kaltura also sees a upside in education as well as media where it has a large footprint.
