Bing has nearly doubled Microsoft’s UK search share in the last year – but it’s not taking anything significant from Google (NSDQ: GOOG), which it still trails by a large margin, according to Hitwise…
Bing now has 4.39 percent of UK searches – up from 2.96 percent a year ago. But Hitwise stats show Google still with an overwhelming share of 90+ percent.
Googe’s UK share is largely unchanged – instead, Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT) has been taking share from Yahoo (NSDQ: YHOO), Ask and others.
Compare that with the U.S., where Google’s share has slid from 66.7 percent to 64.4 percent just between this February and April, as Bing grew from 14.3 percent to 15.7 percent.
