Paris-based Mediastay, which deploys web games to take in money and consumer data for marketing purposes, has raised a $21.5 million VC round to launch new websites, Facebook and mobile applications (release).
Mediastay publishes its own games like Diamond Quest and Bananalotto but also carries out performance marketing services. Last year, it also introduced its own OfferMatch service, which lets people pay for services by accepting online offers.
The OfferMatch service has been approved by Facebook to be used by its apps as an advertising delivery mechanism.
Mediastay, with 60 staff, claims to have made $25 million in revenue in 2010 and to have attracted 25 million members in 14 countries with seven million monthly uniques.
