Eurogamer Buying IndustryGamers.com For U.S. Expansion

Eurogamer Network, the successful independent gaming news and reviews site started by two English brothers, is buying out Hammersuit, the publisher of counterpart IndustryGamers.com, as part of a move in to the U.S.

Eurogamer was founded in Brighton in 1999 by Rupert and Nick Loman to provide gamers with news and reviews.

MD Rupert, in the announcement: “We have been looking for the right opportunity to expand our business across the Atlantic and we are delighted to complete the acquisition of Hammersuit. They are a great fit for us and the potential as we expand our business to North America is huge.

Together, they’re two of the main sites we use to stay abreast of games media developments.

No acquisition terms were published. Hammersuit also publishers the Modojo gaming website and provides content to businesses such as The Ayzenberg Group and Prima Games.
