In Europe, Google Claims Spanish TV Victory, Czechs Have Street View Worry

Google (NSDQ: GOOG) is shouting about one European court victory, and keeping mum on an adverse privacy ruling.

It says a Madrid court on Thursday dismissed claims of copyright infringement brought by Spanish broadcaster Telecinco two years ago.

As we reported at the time, Telecinco argued YouTube was hurting it by airing episodes of popular overseas TV imports to which it has rights, before Telecinco shows them in Spain. Telecinco claimed victory at the time, but Google tells paidContent:UK that was just a preliminary takedown injunction (today’s full ruling here in Spanish)…
