Three little arrangements that see distributors’ content get on devices…
Live TV news aggregator Livestation is taking an app on to Boxee, the internet TV media centre software for Mac, Windows, Linux and AppleTV.
For the time being, Livestation’s premium channels, which it is now trying to push, are available on Mac and Linux only.
D-Link is building a genuine Boxee set-top box that’s due to hit the market in November and whose design certainly has a sense of humour (it’s nearly twice as tall as a Sky+ box).
Meanwhile, EMI Music says it’s licensing its repertoire of back-catalogue and new-release music videos to show on VidZone, the music video service for Playstation 3 that already hosts 25,000 videos.
And Freeview box maker Advanced Digital Broadcast (ADB) of Switzerland says it has come to an arrangement with Top-UP TV that allows it to offer Sky Sports channels through its I-Can range of receivers, which already receive BBC iPlayer.
