St Ives, a group which designs a variety of printed products for retailers and publishers, is buying Occam DM, a database marketing company in a bid to broaden its business beyond paper and cardboard.
Bristol-based, 17-year-old Occam offers marketing services and information management software to clients, with its 80 staff. St Ives says the deal is to “identify products and services in addition to print which will enable the group to add further value to existing and new clients”.
St Ives already had some online services, including software to manage stock leves and to represent shop floors in 3D.
The acquisition is £12 million, debt-free, with a possible further £600,000 contingent, presumably, on hitting targets.
The deal was managed by Ingenious Corporate Finance.
