He didn’t yet manage to turn BT (NYSE: BT) Vision in to a power-play UK IPTV operator, but maybe its former head Dan Marks can do a similar job at ProSiebenSat.1.
Marks has been promoted from head of of SevenSenses, the German broadcaster’s VOD, IPTV and pay-TV division. In his place, he’s appointed former Unity Media COO Christoph Bellmer to run both his former division and a New TV division, BroadbandTVNews reports.
Marks (via C21): “My goal in setting up the New TV division is to establish a new centre of competence in which the different business models will complement each other.”
Marks left BT in June 2009 and was replaced by Marc Watson. He joined ProSiebenSat.1 (FRA: PSM) in April. BT reports Q4 and 2009 earnings this Thursday.
