App Round-Up: Sky News, Deutsche Telekom, Irish Times, Picasso

Sky News: An example of rewriting for seasonality – the news channel has updated its free iPhone app with an Election section, including constituency profiles and results, election stories, historical results and a live simulcast of the TV station.

Irish Times: The paper’s free website has launched a £1.19 iPhone app – but it only includes a selection of stories from the site.

Deutsche Telekom: The T-Mobile owner has launched an app store of sorts. Softwareload is a traditional website retail software for both PC and mobile – either for direct download or desktop sync to mobile (remember that?). The German forebear has 1.5 million registered users.

Picasso: The maker of iPhone gifting app Little World Gifts is working with Tate Liverpool gallery to promote its Picasso exhibition by offering an iPhone gift of a Picasso painting in a 3D replica of the exhibit space.
