FreeAgent, one of the crop of software-as-a-service expenses and accountancy packages, is taking funding from business software seller IRIS and from individual investors, including Robin Klein of The Accelerator Group and Christoph Janz.
The arrangement will see IRIS resell the FreeAgent service in to the UK accountancy market, while FreeAgent itself will continue to sell it to individual UK and global customers.
IRIS MD Phill Robinson, a former Salesforce.com CMO and COO, joins the FreeAgent board.
Edinburgh-based FreeAgent says it wants to use the funds to expand features through hiring. It raised money from angels 12 months ago.
