— Al Jazeera: The broadcaster is making its mobile services free – that means iPhone apps, streaming on mobile website, its Symbian and Windows Mobile apps. “We want Al Jazeera everywhere on mobile for free,” its mobile head Safdar Mustafa tells TechCrunch.
— Spotify: It’s not exactly carrier bundling, but 3 UK is pre-loading its Sony (NYSE: SNE) Ericsson (NSDQ: ERIC) Vivaz handsets with the music service’s Symbian app. No bundled service, though – you’ll still need a £10-a-month subscription.
— ABC (NYSE: DIS) on mobile VOD: On-Demand Group is licensing Disney-ABC shows like Lost and Desperate Housewives for 3 UK’s TV On-Demand subscription mobile TV service. The service is low-key on 3’s site but costs £5 a month or £1.49 a day.
