He was only named European COO in January. But now Google’s Ben Legg has upped sticks for the same role at little-heard-of pan-continental search service European Directories, as TechCrunch reports.
Legg has been director of operations for two years prior to his promotion. With the new company, he will manage three of European Directories’ territories and other services, from its Chiswick, London, office.
Formed in 2005 as a roll-up of Danish ISP TDC’s search business with directories operator Yellow Brick Road Group, European Directories offers local search to consumers and lead generation to advertisers, across print, online, mobile and voice. It claims 5,000 staff across the continent.
