— MetalHammer: Future Publishing’s UK metal music mag has debuted a free iPhone app, with news, features, podcasts and gig listings, including iTunes Store affiliate links. More a brand extension than a big revenue generator.
— Nimbuzz: The instant messaging client — which lets users login to several IM services and Skype VoIP — is releasing an app for Google’s Android platform, to add to its iPhone app. But there’s no VoIP for the Android app, which is out next week.
