In its latest appointment after more than a year of restructuring, EMI Music has named Bauer Media’s chief marketing officer Andria Vidler its new UK and Ireland president, reporting to Europe president David Kassler starting this summer.
Former ITV (LSE: ITV) boss Charles Allen recently joined as non-executive chairman in January in what was called “the final part of the process of putting in place a new management team at EMI Music under Elio Leoni-Sceti and at EMI Music Publishing under Roger Faxon”. It obviously wasn’t too final, though – just last month, EMI scrapped digital as a separate business unit, meaning the departure of digital president Doug Merrill after just a year, along with the promotion of digital SVP Cory Ondrejka as digital marketing EVP. Vidler has been Capital Radio and Magic 105.4 MD, and held marketing head posts for BBC Radio Five Live, BBC News and BBC Sport.
