French video site Dailymotion has now confirmed our report from Monday – that CEO Mark Zaleski (pictured) is being replaced by former BT (NYSE: BT) and Red Bee commercial director Ian Brotherston.
A statement from the board says Zaleski “has resigned from his position with the company as CEO to pursue other opportunities and spend more time on his other investments”. Brotherston will be based in Dailymotion’s Paris office has already updated his LinkedIn profile, which shows he also has had director roles at easyJet and Severn Trent. The statement did not say Zaleski would stay on as non-executive chairman, as first reported, nor that it was looking to raise more money.
