The BBC is getting its second head of mobile appointment in six months. Richard Titus, who replaced Matthew Postgate in November, is leaving to join Daily Mail (LSE: DMGT) newspaper publisher DMGT as CEO of its Associated Northcliffe Digital unit. He’s being replaced by Mark Kortekaas, the former CBS Interactive (NYSE: CBS) CTO and SVP who was drafted in as CTO for ill-fated Project Kangaroo VOD service in November. Kortekaas’ role, like Titus’, is actually future media and technology controller for audio, music and mobile. While Postgate had run mobile alone, Titus’ promotion as one of three controllers late last year saw mobile tacked on to responsibilities including all radio and music output and the BBC’s Rapid Application Development team. Titus has led the redesign of bbc.co.uk/mobile, the consolidation of its iPlayer VOD service on mobile and a beta test for live TV and radio programming. More at paidContent:UK…
