— Yahoo (NSDQ: YHOO) Sport: Sports publisher Factory Media‘s extreme sports news and community site Mpora has got carriage for its Mpora.tv video channel on the co-branded sports portal operated by Yahoo and Eurosport. Mpora already supplied text articles to the site, which launched in May ’07; now it will add highlights from extreme sports events. A neat way for Yahoo/Eurosport to add content for fans of less popular sports.
— Setanta: Talk about a no-brainer. The sports TV providers will merge its corporate Setanta.com site with its SetantaSports.com news site in a merger that will add video from the Setanta Sports News TV channel, NMA swoons. Setanta faces a web content challenge from Virgin Media (NSDQ: VMED), whose video it supplies, Sky Sports and of course the BBC. As for customer acquisitions, I hit Setanta.com on Saturday night but was unable to even find a phone number for subscriptions to the Joe Calzaghe fight.
