Domain gold rush 2.0 is starting to gain momentum. Danish internet outfit Balslev Media has bought Germany.com Casino.de name for 400,000 euros (£307,240) – a new German record. It plans to offer an online guide with web gambling information and advice, arguing deregulation has created a thirst for independent information.
Proprietor Jan Baslev already operates Online-Casinos.com – Casino.de will be a German version. The 31-year-old started out as a one-man band and still posts casino site reviews himself. In the UK in January, Sport.co.uk was bought for £135,000 by Media Corp – the same company that sold Casino.co.uk for £3.62 million. Release.
