Web video tech supplier Narrowstep is promoting European ops GM Barak Bar-Cohen to president and COO, based out of London, according to a release. The outfit’s tricky online video player powers online programming for ITV (LSE: ITV) and Virgin Media (NSDQ: VMED). Narrowstep will release a “technology upgrade” this month featuring a new ad platform, more community tools and cross-platform support – something which has been sorely lacking and has made the software otherwise clunky. Bar-Cohen has previously been customer service VP at US trple-play RCN, investment VP at Israel’s Zannex Investment and senior associate at US economic consultant Putnam, Hayes & Bartlett.
