Finally, after a couple of months of departures, Yahoo (NSDQ: YHOO) has made an executive hire – RIM’s (NSDQ: RIMM) Europe, Middle East and Asia brand marketing director for Blackberry, Kristof Fahy, has joined as European marketing VP, a new role. Fahy had been Orange’s global brand communications director prior to joining RIM, so there’s plenty of opportunity for Yahoo to deploy some mobile marketing here.
Yahoo lost UK central marketing services director Lawrence Merritt to PhotoBox this month. Marketing director Greg Grant quit in September, commercial director Blake Chandlee left to become Facebook
