Industry Moves: Another Yahoo Marketing Exec Leaving; Merritt To Photobox

Pretty soon, Yahoo (NSDQ: YHOO) UK may not have any execs left. Latest to go is central marketing services director Lawrence Merritt, becoming marketing director at London-based photo sharing and printing site PhotoBox after nearly nearly five years with the portal (his LinkedIn profile actually says he’s becoming commercial director). An emailed release said the site had so far this year got 10 million euros (£7 million) and would soon be rebranded.

Yahoo’s UK marketing director Greg Grant quit in September, commercial director Blake Chandlee left to become Facebook’s UK sales director a month later and agency sales head Miles Lewis followed him out the door to launch Last.fm’s European advertising drive. Last we heard, agency sales strategy head Stephen Haines and group head Jon Harvey were expected to follow Chandlee to Facebook’s new UK team.
