French Virtual Tickets Outfit Digitick Gets £5.53 Million Investment

Another week, another funding round for an online tickets company. Here in Europe, Seatwave and Viagogo are competing for the secondary tickets market championed by StubHub in the US. Today, France’s Digitick – which is competing with Dublin’s Ticket Text for the mobile tickets business – received eight million euros (£5.53 million) investment to go toward marketing and European expansion. Paris-based Digitick allows people to buy tickets for festivals, concerts, sports and such like using their mobile phone and the internet, so far boasting direct transaction relationships with the likes of Orange, SFR and local theatres. The funding was led by Paris-based media fund Clipperton Finance and also included Partech International, CM-CIC Capital Privé, CIC Finance and High Co Venture and SFR Developpement.
