Web mini games site Miniclip has brought on board PricewaterhouseCoopers accountant Ross Logan as its new chief financial officer. Miniclip boldly claims to be the web’s largest privately-run games site, with 36 million monthly users. It was started by Rob Small in a London bedroom six years ago, catering for mainly teenagers with a selection of Flash web games and animations, including Dancing Bush.
Since then, it has won three consecutive Webby awards and opened business addresses in New York and San Francisco. So the appointment of Logan, a chartered accountant with previous private sector experience, would seem to point to the increasing profile and revenue potential in the site, which takes display and pre-game video ads.
