Britons aged 15 to 24 are 25 percent more likely to use the internet than the rest of the country – and social networking is among the strongest attractions, according the findings of a new report.
Those in this youngest age bracket also spent more time online than the average internet user, according to comScore’s April figures.
They also spend more time online and look at more pages than their older counterparts.
While the top five UK internet destinations overall remained largely the same across the age groups, for the 15-to-24 age group, MySpace leapfrogged bbc.co.uk in fifth place.
Of the top five sites visited by the younger age bracket, Facebook boasted most unique visitors, followed by Bebo, Allow, Tagged.com and ARTISTdirect.
