A fashion designer turned a corner of a Welsh agricultural show into a Paris-style catwalk to show off range of “rubber clubber” gear.
Robert Owen Jones, from Llangefni, north Wales, took his alternative clothing to the opening of the Anglesey agricultural show and created a stir.
Alongside the more traditional rubber wellies, Mr Jones’s models displayed his use of a rubbery fabric as a clothing material.
“I’ve designed my own fabric which is like a rubber and is for clubwear, and it is a trade secret how I made it,” he said.
“The inspiration is not anything specific – every piece is a one-off and it’s just more comfortable to wear.
“It is more versatile – one size fits a lot of people.
“The club scene is growing very quickly and I am going to be here to dress them all, and to make a lot of money out of it!
“The material is new, different, colourful, contemporary.

“There have been mixed emotions at the show, but so far we are happy!”
He added: “They will be wearing clubby little tops, little boob tubes, short skirts, the usual clubwear.
“The only rubber farmers usually wear is wellington boots.
“But I’m a lad from Anglesey and this is an opportunity to show them to Anglesey – then hopefully the world and we will see what happens after that.”
